About the Trailer

The Trailer can have a maximum of 6 kegs tapped at any one time. It has been custom built with double walls and a safety disc brake locking system on each wheel and additional wheel chocks are added when at any event.

The Kegs are put into ice buckets with the beer lines running through a custom esky full of ice, through chiller plates and poured icy cold through the Taps.

Once The Beer Trailer is setup, the Trailer is left unattended (unless staff is required) until the completion of the event. Upon completion of your event, we will pack up and remove the Trailer from the premises.

Customers will need to organise their own Kegs but we have listed our partners in the Keg Hire tab in our website and you can discuss with us about organising pick up of the Kegs if required.

The Beer Trailer can accommodate different choices of beverages including Beer, Wine, Cocktails, Cider, Ginger Beer, Nitro Coffee, Alcoholic Teas, Kombucha and Sparkling Water.

The 2 popular sizes are the 19L and 50L Kegs. To determine how many kegs you will require for your event, a commercial 50L keg serves about 90 pints or 160 middy's of beer.


Conditions of Hire

The hirer must use the Beer Trailer and other hire equipment for its intended purpose and in a respectful, responsible manner at all times. Although the Beer Trailer is intended for outdoor use, the trailer itself is clad in raw untreated timber, so the hirer must make the necessary arrangements to ensure that the trailer is not to be set up outside and uncovered in inclement weather (rain). The trailer must be set up undercover if rain is forecast for the hire day. Although the BAR sign is waterproof, being electrical, the owner takes no responsibility if the BAR sign is left exposed in the elements and causes harm to any person.

The period of hire shall commence from the date and time as agreed upon the booking information sheet, or the time the equipment is delivered to the hirer, whichever is the later.

The hirer must ensure that the Venue is aware, and that the Beer Trailer Company is allowed on the premises for the purpose of its hire. The hirer must make sure the trailer can fit in the required space at the venue. 

The Kegs for your event MUST BE CHILLED to at least 2 degrees (preferably colder) prior to The Beer Trailer arriving at your event. This is very IMPORTANT. If the kegs are not pre-chilled, then the beer will take a long time to reach the required temperature and will not pour properly. If you are hosting an event in a remote location, this is something that needs to be taken into consideration. Kegs can take several hours to cool, so forward planning is necessary. Make sure not to shake, drop or roll the kegs as this can disturb the carbonation and can cause trouble when pouring. The owner will not be responsible for kegs that are warm, shaken or dropped. Shaken, dropped or warm beer will severely affect the pour of the beer.

In the event of a breakdown or accident during transportation, the hirer will be notified as soon as possible by the owner. If it is not possible to deliver the trailer within a reasonable time period for the hirer, a full refund will be paid. In the event of equipment failure during the hire period, the hirer shall contact the owner and under no circumstances repair, or attempt to repair the equipment without the prior consent of the owner. In the event that such a failure is caused by reasonable wear and tear and not by hirers negligence, misuse or any other reason whatsoever, then the period of hire shall be determined upon equipment being picked up by the owner. In no event will the owner be responsible for any expenditure, damages and/or loss incurred by the hirer arising out of any breakdown or failure of the equipment whether caused by fair wear and tear, negligence on the part of the owner or any other reason whatsoever.

The hirer will be responsible for any loss of or damage to the equipment for any reason whatsoever, except that which is caused by reasonable wear and tear. On completion of the period of hire, the whole or any part of the cost, or replacement of or repair to the equipment may be deducted from the bond. Broken glassware is deducted at $3 per item. Value of all other broken or damaged items will be determined by the owner at repair or replacement cost, plus reasonable time incurred.

The hirer shall be responsible for any loss of or damage to property or person caused by the equipment for any reason whatsoever during the period of hire, and the hirer shall indemnify the owner in respect of claims, damages and expenses in relation thereto.

For the purposes of repossessing the equipment, the owner may enter into or upon any premises where the equipment may be without prejudice to the rights of the owner to recover from the hirer any equipment or any monies due. The hirer indemnifies the owner in respect of any claims, damages or expenses arising out of any action taken under this clause. The Agreement with the hirer may not be transferred or assigned to any other party without the consent of the owner.

A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required on booking. All bookings are to be paid in full 14 days prior to event date. A cancellation of more than 14 days prior to the event date will result in loss of the full 25% deposit. If a cancellation is made within 14 days of the event date, a fee of 50% of the total hire cost will be incurred, and the hirer agrees to pay the required sum of monies. In the event of a hire cancellation by the owner within 14 days prior to the event, a full refund of all monies paid will be refunded. The owner will not be held responsible for, or liable for, any cancellation cost, expenditure, damages or loss incurred by hirer as a result of the cancellation.
